On Thursday, April 2, 2015, the court will host a continuing legal education seminar on pro bono opportunities in the Southern District of Indiana. The seminar
will educate attorneys about the Mediation Assistance Program (“MAP”) and the Civil Trial Assistance Panel (“CTAP”), and provide information about the types of cases handled by the two programs. See the attached press release for full details.

Join the agencies that comprise the federal court family on Friday, February 13, for their annual Black History Month celebration. This year, Dr. Jakobi Williams, Associate Professor of History at Indiana University-Bloomington, will explore the complex history of the Black Panther Party. This free event will offer one of CLE credit for attorneys (pending approval). Pre-registration is NOT required. Also note that Professor Williams will be selling and signing copies of his book, From the Bullet to the Ballot: The Illinois Chapter of the Black Panther Party and Racial Coalition Politics in Chicago, after the event. Books are $25 each and can be purchased via cash or check.
