Chief Judge Diane P. Wood announced that the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit will have a Memorial Proceeding for Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens on Thursday, December 5, 2019, at 9:30 a.m., in the James B. Parsons Ceremonial Courtroom on the 25th Floor of the Dirksen Federal Building at 219 South Dearborn Street, Chicago, Illinois 60604.  Please see Press Release for more information.

The Court has considered the recommendation of the Local Rules Advisory Committee that the revision of certain Local Rules of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana be adopted, and the Clerk issued a Public Notice on September 16, 2019, regarding the proposed amendments.  The Court has considered the proposed amendments and the comments received.

Therefore, pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2071 and Rule 83 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, and Rule 57 of the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana hereby gives public notice that the amendments (linked below) to the Local Rules of this Court are adopted, effective December 1, 2019.

The United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana will sponsor a training session for attorneys on trial preparation and practice in prisoner civil rights cases on Friday, November 15, 2019 from 10 AM to 11:30 AM. The training will take place in the court's Jury Assembly Room (Room 172), located on the first floor of the Birch Bayh Federal Building and United States Courthouse, 46 E.
