All attorneys admitted to the bar of this court have agreed to follow the Indiana Rules of Professional Conduct, which state that it is “the basic responsibility” and an “ethical and social obligation” of all lawyers to provide pro bono legal services. Because of this obligation, the Indiana Rules of Professional Conduct provide that a lawyer “shall not seek to avoid appointment by a tribunal to represent a person except for good cause.”
