Plaintiff Kevin Sweat currently is an inmate at Wabash Valley Correctional Facility. He alleges that Officer Katherine Norton used excessive force against him in violation of the Eighth Amendment when she threw an apple at him, striking him in the back of the neck and causing lasting pain and injury. This claim has survived summary judgment and will be resolved through settlement or trial. The Court seeks counsel to represent Mr. Sweat through final judgment. No settlement conference or trial dates have yet been set.
