Plaintiff James Gilman, who is incarcerated at Wabash Valley Correctional Facility, alleges that Wabash Valley-Centurion medical staff were deliberately indifferent to a serious medical need, which led to him needing emergency abdominal surgery at an outside hospital. Mr. Gilman also alleges that the Wabash Valley-Aramark food service supervisor ignored post-surgery dietary instructions, which caused him pain and endangered his resected colon. The case currently has a dispositive motion deadline of November 7, 2025, a final pretrial conference date of January 16, 2026, and a trial date of February 24, 2026. No settlement conference date is set. The Court seeks counsel for Mr. Gilman through final judgment.
