Ryan Camden is currently incarcerated at Pendleton Correctional Facility. He alleges that his previous custodians at Plainfield Correctional Facility failed to protect him from violence by other inmates, caused him to harm himself, and used unnecessary force against him. The Court dismissed Mr. Camden's complaint for failure to state a claim but afforded him an opportunity to file an amended complaint. Mr. Camden has limited abilities to read and write, and his filings indicate he may not be able to file an amended complaint on his own. Recruited counsel will have 30 days following appointment to file an amended complaint or an appropriate motion and then will represent Mr. Camden through final judgment.
