Matthew Forgey alleges that the defendants exposed him to harmful levels of asbestos when he was required to remove contaminated floor tiles as a recreation worker at Plainfield Correctional Facility. Mr. Forgey's complaint has been screened, and he has requested counsel due to his chronic carpal tunnel syndrome and arthritis that prevents him from writing and typing. The Court seeks counsel to represent Mr. Forgey through final judgment. Dispositive motions are currently due April 6, 2026. The case is set for trial on September 28, 2026, with a final pretrial on September 15, 2026.
