Jack Edwards is incarcerated at New Castle Correctional Facility. He alleges that Dr. John Nwannunu violated his Eighth Amendment rights by showing deliberate indifference to his serious knee and hand injuries. Mr. Edwards' claims against Dr. Nwannunu survived summary judgment and will be resolved by settlement or trial. Centurion of Indiana, LLC, remains a defendant because it is the proper party to implement any injunctive relief agreed upon by the parties or awarded following a trial. The Court is recruiting counsel to represent Mr. Edwards through final judgment. A telephonic settlement conference has been scheduled for September 5, 2025. No trial has been scheduled.
