Magistrate Judge Kennard P. Foster

Kennard P. Foster was appointed U.S. Magistrate Judge in 1986, was reappointed to a successive eight-year term in 1994,and has been on recall status since November 1, 2002.. He previously worked as an Assistant United States Attorney from 1976 to 1986 and as Special Agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation from 1970-1971. He practiced law with the firm of Jones, Foster & Loveall from 1971-1976.

He attended Purdue University from 1962 to 1964. He graduated from Ball State University in 1966 and the Indiana University School of Law in 1970. He is a member of the Federal Magistrate Judges Association.
