CM/ECF & PACER Access

When accessing
CM/ECF to FILE ELECTRONICALLY,
users must login
with the filing attorney's ECF
login and password. To obtain an ECF account login & password for the Southern District of Indiana, complete the
attorney
Registration Form. ECF-registered
attorneys also receive immediate service (via e-mail) of
electronically filed documents in their cases.

When accessing
CM/ECF to VIEW CASE INFORMATION
and case documents, users must
login with a PACER account. To learn more about PACER and to register
online for a PACER account, visit the
PACER Service Center.

ECF
Rules and Procedures

The
U. S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana will
upgrade CM/ECF to
Version 5.1.1 on January 7, 2012.

Electronic Civil Case Opening begins
February 1, 2012. Participants may file new civil cases electronically
via CM/ECF. Training is required and may be scheduled
through the clerk's office.

ECF Policies and Procedures Manual
discusses procedures for using the court's CM/ECF
system (Revised January 1, 2012).
